BEP 341 – Idiomy z angielskiego biznesowego: Food Idioms (3)
Welcome back to Business English Pod for our final lesson on idiomy biznesowe w języku angielskim związane z jedzeniem.
Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve looked at a lot of different angielskie idiomy connected to food. It should be no surprise that so many expressions are related to eating and drinking. W sumie, we do it three times a day, or more. Food is not just a necessity, it’s a big part of life and culture.
When you’re looking at idioms, it’s important to remember that they are fixed expressions where the words don’t have a literal meaning. So when you hear that someone is “in a pickle,” you have to understand that there’s no actual pickle. It just means that someone’s in a difficult situation. You have to figure it out from the context, ponieważ tak naprawdę nie ma oczywistego związku między piklami a trudnymi sytuacjami.
Na lekcji, wrócimy do rozmowy trzech kolegów. Jessie próbuje przekonać Luke'a i Bena, aby dołączyli do niej i rozpoczęli wspólne założenie firmy. Dzisiaj, usłyszymy, jak rozmawiają o możliwych wyzwaniach związanych z prowadzeniem własnego biznesu.
Pytania do słuchania
1. Jaki przykład podaje Ben na temat potencjalnie trudnej sytuacji biznesowej??
2. To, co według Jessie jest jedną z ważnych korzyści płynących z prowadzenia własnego biznesu?
3. Zdaniem Jessie, co jest konieczne, aby ludzie mieli dobre partnerstwo biznesowe?
